Katy Boughey Cllr

Katy Boughey has been one of the Councillors representing Chislehurst for 20 odd years. Katy has found this to be very interesting and demanding but equally very stimulating and rewarding and has achieved some success regarding local issues.


Katy has served on many committees but her main interest is planning and she Chairs of one of the planning committees.

Katy also work as a volunteer at the citizens advice bureau and this proves to be very useful as the two roles Councillor and advisor often overlap and compliment each other.Katy lives in Chislehurst and has done so for 30 years so she appreciates the character of the village and the surrounding area and knows how deeply the residents feel about maintaining that.


Katy uses all the local facilities library, station and shops so appreciates any issues residents may have.

Katy is Chairman of Plans Sub-Committee 3 and a member of Plans Sub-Committee 1 and the Development Control Committee.


Suraj Sharma Cllr

Suraj Sharma has resided in the area his entire life and lives near Elmstead Woods together with his wife and two young children who both go to school in the area.


Suraj is passionate about Chislehurst with its green and open spaces and is committed to defending the character of the area from inappropriate development. As a resident Suraj knows the area, the services and amenities intimately and is fully invested in Chislehurst and its community.

As a self starter and entrepreneur Suraj has gained a lot of experience in a multitude of industries including international trade, construction and ecommerce. Suraj has a track record in delivering not only in the commercial world but also for not for profit organisations. 


Suraj has always been an active volunteer and was previously Secretary of a prominent Premier League Trust and helped transform it into one of the most powerful voices in the game.  Suraj is also a member of the Conservative Foreign & Commonwealth Council. Outside of politics Suraj has a keen interest in history, astronomy, reading, football and travel.

Suraj is Vice-Chairman of Renewal, Recreation & Housing, member of Planning Sub-Committee 1 and member of the  Public Protection & Enforcement Committee.

Kieran Terry Cllr

He is particularly passionate about preservation of Chislehurst’s open spaces and also tackling local traffic issues.

Kieran is Member of Environment Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee, member of Plans Sub-Committee 3
and a member of the Allotments Committee.


Kieran Terry Cllr

Kieran is a local resident and an experienced local campaigner. Kieran works in financial services and has previously studied at university in the USA.

He has already worked alongside Chislehurst’s existing local Conservative Councillors to tackle issues raised by residents and is excited by the future prospect of serving his local community.

He is particularly passionate about preservation of Chislehurst’s open spaces and also tackling local traffic issues.

Kieran is Vice-Chairman of Environment, member of Planning Sub-Committee 3 and a member of the Allotments Committee.

Member of Parliament

Bob Neill MP

Bob Neill was born in 1952 and educated at Abbs Cross Grammar School, Hornchurch. He went on to study Law at the London School of Economics which led to a successful career as a barrister specialising in criminal law.

Bob was elected as MP for Bromley and Chislehurst in June 2006. This followed the sudden death of The Rt Hon Eric Forth. Following Bob's election to Parliament he was appointed to the Justice Select Committee, which scrutinises the work of the new Ministry of Justice,

the Courts and legal system, the work of the government law officers as well as devolution issues.


After only a year in Parliament Bob was appointed Shadow London Minister, joining the Shadow Communities & Local Government team. In 2008 he was made Shadow Local Government Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party and in January 2009, Bob also took over the shadow planning brief. From May 2010 to September 2012, Bob was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Communities and Local Government. In this role, he had responsibilities for the Fire Service, Thames Gateway, the Olympics, local government and planning.

Peter Fortune AM

Peter Fortune was elected to represent Bexley and Bromley on the London Assembly in May 2021.

Born and raised in Lambeth, Peter moved to Bromley in 2006, where he lives with his wife, who works as a teacher, and two children. He worked for a national media company, before founding his own consultancy business in 2016.

Peter has served as a councillor in Bromley since 2010. In 2015, he was given the portfolio for children, education and families. In 2017, he became Deputy Leader of Bromley Council.
